Rooted in Family, Built for Impact

CiminoCare’s story began over 75 years ago in Florence, Italy, with Wilma Tanzini—a devoted wife, mother and caregiver whose legacy grew into a multigenerational family business. In 1988, she, her husband and her five children opened their first assisted living community, guided by a commitment to serving seniors with compassion and dignity. Since then, CiminoCare has grown its own operating company to 13 communities.

Its focus continues to be on meeting the needs of the underserved middle-market segment by creating efficient operating models and partnering with owners, health care systems, and third-party payers to expand access and affordability. Today, with decades of operational experience and thought leadership, Mark Cimino, MaryAnn Cimino Shinn and their partners are helping owners and operators grow strategically, enhance efficiency, and create impactful senior care solutions.
